Lookbook: 50 shades of nude

June 18, 2016

Have you tried going nude this season? Now before you start undressing yourself, grab a fashion mag and check out the catwalk favourites. Blush, taupe, cream, nude and every beige shade in between… the fashion world is going crazy!

Recently I celebrated my 25th birthday, and while I didn’t head out in my birthday suit, I certainly rocked a mean taupe dress I found on ASOS. At first, I had a number of thoughts run through my head:

…”Will this make me look naked?”…
…”Is it going to look see-through?”…
                                                                         …”Am I going to look washed out?”…

In the end, I decided to go for it, but not before I did some research on my favourite designers to see how they styled the trend. Now I’m obsessed! Nude tones are highly versatile and can be applied to casual, corporate and evening styles that I can’t wait to try out! They are definitely understated and bring a fresh touch of luxury to an outfit.

Finally, no outfit is complete without the perfect accessories! Recently I discovered an Australian brand called My Jewellery Story (MYJS) and it’s an excellent addition to any outfit. The brand features some dazzling, timeless pieces that to my surprise are extremely affordable!

Now see below for my collection of looks perfect for work, celebrations or casual wear.
