It’s finally 2018, the year of our wedding!!
I can’t believe how fast it all went, now with less than 4 months until the big day it’s time to start thinking about all the finer details like my makeup. Luckily, my favourite Australian beauty blogger Chloe Morello is also getting married in 2018. I love to follow her beauty routine, makeup trials and wedding prep and thought I’d try it out myself.
Her Wedding Makeup video tutorial inspired me to try something similar. With both of our weddings taking place in hot, humid weather I love the natural approach and focus on long-lasting makeup. I used Estee Lauder double wear as suggested by Chloe and tried out the natural beige smoky wing.
While I still have a bit of practice to do (and purchase a good brown liquid eyeliner – pencil eyeliner was way too difficult for this look!) I’m pretty happy how this turned out. I love the natural gold and beige tones, subtle highlight and soft romantic lips. For our wedding, I am planning to have eyelash extensions so the eyes would pop even more!
I’s also super impressed with how the makeup lasted. Following the trial, I went for a walk and was outdoors for about 4 hours. Coming back home my makeup still looked amazing! There was a little oil build-up around the t-zone but nothing a little touch up of powder wouldn’t fix. The base was definitely a winner.
For any brides out there, I would definitely recommend using Estee Lauder Double Wear for its longevity, coverage and natural finish. I set this foundation with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder which did the trick for a flawless finish.
Here’s what I used:
Estée Lauder Double Wear in 3W1
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC20
MAC Blush in Style
Sportsgirl Pretty Cheeky Stick Highlighter
Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
Ciate x Chloe Morello Pretty Fun and Fearless Vol 2. Colours: Mix of Platinum and Halo for centre of lid. Halo on inner corners and brow bone.
Urban Decay Naked Palette: Buck for outer edges, wing and under the eye.
Ciate London Wonderwand mascara
Becca Champagne Pop Highligher
Ciate London Fierce Flicks Liquid Eye Liner (from Chloe Morello palette)
Modere mascara for bottom lashes
