Home automation with Arteor with Netatmo

Over the last few years I’ve noticed that more and more Australians are turning to home automation. I was also surprised to find out that turning your house into a smart home is even easier than I could have imagined. Forget all the complicated computer systems and costly set-ups. Now, there’s plenty of practical products on the market. In this blog post I’m going to highlight one Aussie brand who make home automation simple and affordable.

Arteor with Netatmo by HPM is a collection of smart switches and sockets that are easily integrated into your home. Imagine being able to control your appliances and lights wherever and whenever! This gives you the flexibility and functionality that is no longer reserved for luxury homes. And we couldn’t go past this feature for our house renovations!

Arteor with Netatmo allows you to control lights, small appliances, blinds and shutters; monitor energy consumption; and tailor your home to suit your lifestyle. Controlling it all is easy with the Home+Control App on your phone or voice command through digital assistants like Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple Siri. For now, we simply use our phones but are definitely looking into getting a digital assistant in the future!

So, what are the benefit of home automation? Well, installing the system in our home makes everything feel more connected. Think switching on the lights just before getting home at night and warming up the coffee machine for a fresh brew in the morning. It not only saves us money but makes things feel simpler and more connected.

Here’s a few ways you can utilise home automation in your home:

LIVING ROOM

I don’t know about you but as technology advances, I seem to find more and more remotes around the house which is super confusing! With home automation you can use simply tell your digital assistant to  ‘…start the movie’ while Arteor with Netatmo powers on the TV, closes the shutters, dims the lights, and even fires up the popcorn machine for the ultimate home cinema experience. Bliss!

BEDROOM

Set up a personalised “Wake Up” scenario. Using your Home+Control App you can set to open the blinds and shutters, switch on your bedside lamp and fire up the coffee machine ready to start your day. Forget to turn the lights off before hopping into bed? Simply press the ‘night mode’ button from your bedside table or connected mobile device!

HALLWAY

Running out the door? The Master Switch can be conveniently placed near the door so that you can switch off all connected devices when leaving home.

KITCHEN

The Home+Control app allows you to monitor your energy consumption in real-time or through an in-depth analysis, showing complete transparency for you household usage per day, month and year. You can even set up regular updates and alerts when it reaches a certain number.

Ever walked out of the house worried you left the hair straightener on? The Home+Control App will notify you via an alert and allow you to control lights and individual appliances remotely.

OUTSIDE

New to the range is the AQUA smart switches which are designed for outdoor use and to withstand Australia’s toughtest weather conditions. Enjoy a backyard BBQ or summer by the pool and connect your pool pump, outdoor lamps or flood lights all from your smart phone device.
